Avast antivirus is a globally known antivirus software and has one of the maximum numbers of downloads. Avast premium antivirus provides advanced data protection tools and services.

In the free Avast plan, you can get the virus scan and other basic tools. When you are using the free antivirus, you will get the upgrade pop-ups regularly.

It monitors your incoming data packets on your network and prevents all the dangerous traffic.

But sometimes the firewall may create issues in connecting the device to the internet. For fixing the error, you need to disable or uninstall the Avast firewall from your device. 

Uninstalling Avast firewall NDIS filter Miniport:

If you have installed the Avast firewall NDIS then you need to uninstall it from your computer. You can uninstall the Avast firewall by following the mentioned steps:

  1. Open your computer
  2. Press the Wins button
  3. Click on the Settings option
  4. Select the Apps tab
  5. Search for the Avast firewall program

Right-click on the program and select the Uninstall button. You may have to follow a few on-screen instructions to complete the Avast firewall uninstallation process.

Avast premium antivirus plans also provide the firewall. If you are using the antivirus firewall then you don’t have to uninstall the antivirus.

You can directly disable the firewall and use other tools reliably. Here are the steps for disabling firewall from Avast antivirus:

  1. Open your computer and click on the Avast icon
  2. Avast security dashboard will appear on the desktop
  3. Select the Protection tab
  4. Click on Firewall
  5. Now toggle the button to Off
  6. Select the time duration
  7. A confirmation wizard may appear
  8. Click on the OK, Stop button

Now the firewall of your Avast device has been disabled. After completing the time duration, the firewall of your Avast antivirus will get enabled automatically.

But when the user has selected the Disable Permanently option; he has to enable the firewall manually. After troubleshooting your error, you must enable the firewall immediately. 

Steps to disable Avast antivirus

Sometimes disabling only the firewall may not fix the error. In that situation, you need to disable your Avast antivirus plan.

Disabling the Avast antivirus will make your device vulnerable to threats. You can follow the given steps to disable Avast antivirus:

  1. Open your Windows computer
  2. Go to the desktop and hover the cursor to the taskbar
  3. Right-click on the Avast icon (orange icon)
  4. Select the Avast Shield control option

Click on Disable Permanently option. Now try to connect to open the website which is not opening on the firewall. If the site is still showing the error then the URL is wrong or the site doesn’t exist.

But if the site opens, use it carefully as it can be harmful to the device and data. After completing your work on the site, delete your history files.

Now again go to the Avast shields control option and click on Enable option. Now open the dashboard of your Avast antivirus and run a full system scan immediately.

If your device got any malware from the internet then the scan will remove it from the PC immediately.

The Avast antivirus only blocks the network when the URL seems malicious. You should try to access the site only when you are sure that the website is secure. Disable the firewall and open the site in incognito mode.

Opening the site in incognito mode reduces the hacking and malware threats when your network is not under firewall protection.
