Yezdi Adventure 2025: What’s new

The fondest memory of the Yezdi Adventure we have harks back to 2023 when SRK starrer Jawan had a whole fleet of these bikes during the third act of the movie.

We, as automotive enthusiasts, have an eye for the details and I remember telling the folks around me that this is a Yezdi Adventure and not a RE Himalayan, for the similarities were so many between both these motorcycles.

And today, we’re happy to report that these familiarities have been reworked and the Yezdi Adventure 2025 version has an identity of its own. Deservedly so, now the bike looks fresh, modern and more so brawny than ever.

Jawa Motorcycles has had a tough time establishing the Adventure as a bike of its own identity back in the day, but with the new update, we feel that the issue will be long gone before we even think about it twice.

So what’s changed? And what precisely does the bike bring to the table? Let’s discuss in detail in our 2025 Yezdi Adventure overview right below.

Design

As we just indicated, the older Yezdi Adventure could not carve out its identity in the Indian market with its design being very similar to the RE Himalayan - the older version. The design team has gone back and changed all of that - to the extent that the new Adventure looks whole now, and it does strike in memory as a tall and handsome machine.

At the front, the talking point here is the new split-headlamp setup which is unconventional thanks to a unique reflector and projector setup in different pods.

The lighting setup does seem to be satisfactory for night rides, as we expect the projector lamp to light up the road well. What’s nice, however, is the use of bullet-like indicator housings for the LED indicators - similar at the rear - which is usually an aftermarket fitment but Yezdi has ensured one less trip to the accessories shop.

The rest of the design seems familiar at the front, despite that it looks very fresh and modern. At the side you get engine protectors as a standard fitment now, which was earlier available as an accessory.

The 21-inch wheel at the front and the 17-inch wheel at the rear with thicker rubber does lend this one an appeal of a big bike. The seat height though seems similar to the Yezdi Adventure of yore.

At the back, there’s a neat housing for the taillamps below the pavilion seat. The taillamps itself are circular LED units that once again give the Yezdi a design identity of its own. Surrounded by the bullet-like indicators and neatly embedded in their own housing, the taillamps do add a certain level of flair to the overall design.

The bike now comes in six fresh colour options – three matte and three gloss. The new paint options do lend this bike a fresh appeal and they do suit the character of this motorcycle.

The paint quality has also been improved with this update and that significantly enhances the overall appeal of this motorcycle.

Equipment

Updates to the electronic suit of the Yezdi Adventure include the safety net of traction control and three ABS modes – Road, Rain and Off-Road. Both the traction control and ABS can be switched off, in case of off-roading.

The 2025 Yezdi Adventure also gets two USB ports to charge devices on the go, one of which is a type-C port while the other one is the standard USB port. It also gets a windscreen that can be adjusted to better suit the riding position of multiple riders.

The instrumentation layout remains similar to the previous model, and to our eyes this is where we feel the Yezdi Adventure needed an update as well, since the instrumentation looks slightly old now, and the competition has moved ahead - as is the case with its direct rival, the RE Himalayan which now gets a big coloured circular display that can also display Google Maps directly on the cluster when paired with a compatible smartphone.

The fit-and-finish levels have also been improved for the riders to perceive a better sense of quality with the 2025 Yezdi Adventure.

Engine

The Yezdi Adventure 2025 remains mechanically unchanged, and carries over the same engine as was available with its predecessor. The 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is good for 29.2 bhp and 29.9 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox as standard. The bike now complies with the new norms, which means it is now OBD-2 compliant.

Yezdi has made alterations to this engine in the past and it’s a much more likeable motor now than what we saw at first with the Yezdi line of motorcycles.

We find out while working on our Yezdi Adventure overview that the engine pulls cleanly off the line thanks to a nice surge of torque in the bottom and mid levels of the rev band, making this motor appropriate for off-roading with the Adventure.

The gearbox is easy to operate thanks to a slip-and-assist clutch ensuring that the bike is easy to ride in everyday traffic in the city.

Competition

The Yezdi Adventure for 2025 does look like a compelling motorcycle on its own, however it’s important to note that the existing competitors have also moved ahead and now there are new players in the similar price range as well.

We’ll discuss the pricing in the next section, but it is worth noting that the new Adventure slots between the Hero Xpulse 210 and KTM Adventure 250. The new RE Himalayan has moved ahead by leaps and bounds, and there’s a new contender from Triumph Motorcycles as well, which comes at a slightly expensive price tag.

Prices and Verdict

The Yezdi Adventure 2025 is available in four variants, with differences between each of them being purely cosmetic and not in terms of the equipment. The base model is priced at INR 2.17 lakh while the top model is available for INR 2.29 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).

With this update, Jawa Motorcycles has made the Yezdi Adventure a more compelling product with its own unique identity in its segment. The prices are also spot on making it a value-for-money machine for someone who’s looking to invest in an affordable ADV.

The improved fit-and-finish and paint quality is another boon for this motorcycle.

All in all, the 2025 Yezdi Adventure gets a complete overhaul, and we think it’s for the better. We encourage you to test ride and consider this motorcycle if it fits the bill.
